Ellis is best for county legislator

To the editor:

Do you appreciate a person who takes the time to listen to you? Do you value a person who looks at all angles of a problem and uses logic to solve the problem? Do you admire a person who volunteers and supports this community?

If you said yes to any or all of these questions, then Lindy Ellis deserves your vote for legislator on Nov. 6.

Lindy is an accomplished leader, and her past employment is quite impressive, having 40 years of manufacturing experience at Corning and serving 13 of those years as director. While with Corning she received a Manufacturing Technology and the Engineering People Development Award. In 2007 Lindy received the Diversity and Development Award and Woman Leader of the Year. Locally she has served on many boards including the Franklin County Industrial Development Agency, Franklin County Traffic Safety Board, Saranac Lake Parks and Trails Advisory Board, Homeward Board Adirondacks and most notably the Saranac Lake Skate Park Committee.

Lindy is more than committed to this community and her dedication is remarkable. That is probably one of the many reasons outgoing legislator Barb Rice picked Lindy to finish out her term. Lindy immediately went to work immersing herself in our district’s issues and finding solutions. In her tenure thus far, she has already demonstrated her excellent capabilities.

As always, this election is about the best person for the job. Having worked directly with Lindy at the county level, I can tell you unequivocally Lindy Ellis is the best person to continue in her role as county legislator.
