To the editor:

After many months of hoping the President would answer the invitation from our Congresswoman, we finally get a response. He is coming to Fort Drum to sign the National Defense Authorization Act with Rep. Elise Stefanik in front of the brave men and women who will receive significant pay raises from the signing of that bill.

I for one, as both a Trump and Stefanik supporter, am ecstatic that I will finally get to see them together in the same place for a great reason: Strengthening and securing our military. Especially strengthening and supporting a military base that has a massive impact for our district.

Fort Drum provides the Watertown area and the North Country with massive economic benefits. Getting any sitting president to answer your invitation is an accomplishment. I applaud and congratulate Stefanik.
