We’re working hard here in Cranberry Lake to create good reasons for our neighbors across the region to visit. The art show has been a great draw, and this year it will be even MORE interesting and fun.

The third annual Cranberry Lake Art Show will again feature the work of over 50 artists and artisans from the greater Cranberry Lake region. The show will take place Saturday, Aug. 11 and Sunday Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Cranberry Lake Fire Hall Community Room, Route 3, Cranberry Lake.

Join us for an Art-irondack Chair auction with artisan inspired and decorated chairs. Painting, wood burning, quilting, rug hooking will all be featured styles of the decorated chairs — most will be designed to be usable art. The chairs will be auctioned at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday will feature a wine and cheese reception from 1 to 3 p.m. when patrons can meet the artists followed immediately by the Adirondack chair auction. The auction will provide operating funds for the 2019 show, and we are sure you will find a chair that suits your home perfectly. We expect bidding will be quite intense because the chairs are so unique. We are delighted that our auctioneer will be Todd Moe, arts and cultural desk editor and morning host from North Country Public Radio.

Our “bear chair” will be the door prize for attending the Art-irondack Chair auction. The raffle ticket will be drawn after the auction and you must be present to win.

We welcome everyone to come spend a few hours with a truly unique and open-hearted group of artists who are committed not only to their craft but to the well-being of the Cranberry Lake region. We hope you’ll come and bid on a chair (or two), and enjoy not only the show but the view of our beautiful lake from the venue.
