Politics at school

To the editor:

I was told that politics is not to be pushed into schools and you are not to even give out a pen with someone’s name on it running for office, but it seems that it is OK now to bring politics into school.

From what I read on the students’ walkout, that two Democrats who are looking to be elected were there and Voters for Change was also there but not all political parties were there — no Republicans were invited — I feel this was wrong. Politics are not to be in schools (period), or it’s open to all parties, not just one party.

The walkout was for the 17 victims in Florida, one minute for each life lost, in a memory of them and that they will not be forgotten. It even says in the paper that the adults who were there were telling the kids to vote. Voting is good, and it’s the freedom we get to enjoy living in the United States.

What has the world come to? God bless our kids, God bless our families and our neighbors, and God bless America.
