ARTA member makes a false claim on Facebook

To the editor:

With the talk of the rail trail fired up again after the proposal of the Adirondack Park Agency rule change,” it seems that Adirondack Recreational Trail Advocates is once again stopping at nothing when it comes to complete out-and-out lies to deceive the public on trying to get their message to rip up the rails out.

The attached screenshot is from ARTA board member Jim McCulley, originally posted on “The ARTA” Facebook page with a super-huge claim relating to the “Ski-Doo Dealer in OF” (Old Forge). Note the final reply from Doug Smith, owner of Smith Marine in Old Forge, and how he completely kills and debunks Jim’s original, publicly posted claim.

As has been noted in the past, the ARTA group or board members and supporters alike have been caught red-handed in lies and deception during this whole battle, and yet New York state still pushes through this whole plan with ARTA right behind them cheering them on. When are people going to finally acknowledge the repeated lies?
