Northern Lights School May Faire thanks
To the editor:
Each year Northern Lights School hosts May Faire, a celebration of the arrival of spring. This event brings our school family and the broader community together to enjoy a day of games, food, music and festivities. On May 20th, this year’s celebration was held at Heaven Hill Farm in Lake Placid. It was an amazing day that welcomed over 160 people. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful and supportive community and are thrilled to host an event for all to enjoy.
May Faire was possible thanks to many generous donations from local restaurants, farms, artists, hotels and shops. Thank you to the parents, faculty and alumni who volunteered their time and hard work to make this day a success. We would like to thank the following people and businesses for supporting us this year:
Heaven Hill Farm
Fledging Crow Vegetables
Essex Farm
Mr. Mike’s Pizza
Hannaford Supermarket
The Whiteface Lodge
The Adirondack Daily Enterprise
Andrea Hill Pottery
Kat Wrubluski, LMT
Avalon Tree Care
Nest Doula Care and Childbirth Services
Anastasia Osolin
Red Legs Flowers
Iron Valley Equine Center
The Dance Sanctuary
Bye Bye Blackfly
BOGS Footwear
The Shamrock Jam Band
Funds raised from this year’s May Faire will help us continue to provide a Waldorf-based education that focuses on the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of children. In this, the 20th year since the school’s founding, we have served over 50 local families. Looking forward to the next 20 years, we have goals of expanding our space and our programs to accommodate more area children.
We are grateful for the continued support of our families and our community. Happy summer to all!
Thank you,
Carina Moore, vice president and fundraising chair, and the Board of Trustees
