Vote Meagher for Harrietstown council

To the editor:

To the residents of Harrietstown:

Election Day is just ahead of us. You will find the name of Patricia Meagher as a candidate for the four-year term of Harrietstown council person.

I have known Patty since she was in high school. I have followed her career path over the years since.

You may not know that Patricia Meagher served as deputy town clerk for the town of Harrietstown, and court clerk. During her service as deputy town clerk, she had the opportunity to watch, help and support the daily operations of the town and the town board.

I am a member of the Harrietstown town board who has served as councilman, deputy supervisor and supervisor. I am currently serving as a councilman. My time frame in service on the town board spans about 30 years. I provide this background in the hope that as you read this, you will not think that this is just one more political endorsement.

I have worked with Patricia Meagher during her service to the town of Harrietstown, and during her working years at the town of Harrietstown, on a daily basis. I found her to be responsible, dependable and helpful. Helpful in the getting things done and also helpful in suggesting ideas and thoughts that I might consider as a town board member. While I did not always agree with her, I valued her concern and commitment to good service for the residents of the town of Harrietstown.

I think she will take her responsibilities as an elected member of the board, seriously, objectively and with a genuine commitment to serve all the residents of the town of Harrietstown, both inside and outside the village lines.

I believe her hands on working knowledge of town planning, operations and budgeting will be an asset to the all taxpayers and service to all the people who are served by government services within the town of Harrietstown. I believe she will work with other governments to provide effective, efficient services to all who utilize them.

Please consider Patricia Meagher when you vote on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Sincerely,

Ronald B. Keough
