To the editor:

For the past one-and-a-half years or more I have sat in Judge Meyer’s Family Court, Criminal Court and Drug Court, along with family members. First of all, Judge Meyer is for the victim, and in Family Court he is for the best interest of the child; only under certain circumstances is the child awarded to another party until all parties are investigated. In Criminal Court, Judge Meyer will give the defendant a second chance but only if he thinks the defendant is worth saving. Drug Court is a big thing that he runs to try and give the defendants a new start in life. Some families aren’t always happy with Judge Meyer’s decisions. My family and I know that. Judge Meyer is fair and honest, also very experienced at what he does. As for the Vet Drug Court, Mr. Barrett, you are wrong. These vets have been through a lot in life, and Judge Meyer is working on getting their lives back on track. I urge all of Essex County to re-elect Judge Meyer.

Larry Straight has certainly proven himself as town of North Elba highway superintendent. Larry works very hard at keeping our highways looking great, spring, summer and especially in the winter months. Also Larry gets along very well with his employees.

So let’s get out there and vote for Larry Straight.
