This year the Saranac Lake High School Class of 2017 will be hosting their junior/senior prom. Prom night is a very special event that happens in high school. This is an event that students look forward to attending as they leave middle school and start their final four years of high school. In an attempt to keep our children safe after the prom, an After Prom Party was created. For the last several years, the After Prom Party Committee has provided a free, fun, safe environment for the teens in our community. In the past, SLHS has hosted a total of a few thousand young adults on prom night. It is open to any junior or senior from Saranac Lake High School, whether they attend the prom or not.

The junior class is responsible for fundraising so all activities at the After Prom Party are free once the party begins. Last year the night consisted of music, food, a hypnotist and a car being raffled at the end of the night. The post-party begins immediately following the prom, 11 p.m. until 4 a.m. the next morning. The After Prom Committee would like to see 100 percent participation from all prom goers so the kids can continue their night in a safe environment. You do not have to be a parent of a Saranac Lake student to contribute to the After Prom Party.
