On the third day of Saranac Lake-mas, Historic Saranac Lake gave to you … French Hill! French Hill is one of the earliest neighborhoods in Saranac Lake and encompasses the east-west streets of McClelland, James, Charles, Prospect, McIntyre, Neil, and Olive and Arnold Drive; and the north-south streets of Hope, Fairview Avenue, William, Virginia and McComb. It is about 40 acres in extent. In this 1902 photograph, Prospect Avenue runs up from Broadway to McComb Street.
