Kimberly Marie Boyer

Kimberly Marie Boyer, age 59, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her family home in Vermontville, on March 26, 2022. She was born Nov. 24, 1962 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica to Diana Boyer.

Kimberly loved nature and all life, big and small. From a young child she felt it was her mission to save lives and make life a little easier for those around her. From taking a cow from the local slaughter house and dragging it home while being kicked in order to “save it” to making sure those around her never felt alone or unloved, especially during the holidays.

She was a phenomenal mother and homemaker to three biological children, but “Kimmy” was mother to many in our community. May we keep her alive by spreading Adirondack wildflowers and love and remembering the importance of family and community. She loved nothing more.

Kimberly’s dream was to develop our family property into a farm called “Raven Haven” a place where family, friends and the community can make memories. If anyone would like to donate trees, flowers, and bulbs, etc. to help make her vision a reality, please contact the family.

Kimberly is survived by her mother Diana Boyer; her siblings Tammy Boyer, Shawn Boyer, Ray Boyer; and her children Tanner Meade and Carol Meade.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her son Kevin Meade and the only father figure she ever knew, Robert “Bob” Dukett.

Kimberly was born in Utica, but was raised in the Adirondacks. She loved the woods, camping, drift-wooding, drawing, but most of all being a mother. It was her pride and joy to raise hard working, nature loving children. She farmed, she volunteered at the local food banks and loved helping our community. She was in her prime when surrounded by mother nature and people she loved.

A memorial service will be held on April 9, 2022 at Algonquin Apartments Rec. Center from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

We are asking that any family and friends that attend “bring a memory.” We would love to see pictures and share memorable stories about “Ripper”! If you have a moment, write down something you remember.
