Naoma Lanthier
Naoma Lanthier, age 86, of Tupper Lake, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. Per the family’s request, there will be no services at this time. Arrangements remain under the care and direction of Frary Stuart Funeral Home, Tupper Lake.
Naoma is survived by her husband, Wilfred J. Lanthier, of Tupper Lake; two sons, John Lanthier and his wife Rebecca, of Des Moines, Iowa and Alan Lanthier and his wife Lily, of Hernando, Florida; a daughter, Loretta Perham and her husband, Charles, of Tupper Lake; a brother, Roy Stevens; three sisters, Clara Lanthier, Diana Perry and Barbara St. Louis; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Edwin and Loretta (Smith) Stevens, a son, Wayne Robert Lanthier, and her siblings; Paul Stevens, Joan Shurtleff, and Donna Bandy.
Naoma was born on Aug. 25, 1934 the daughter of Edwin Stevens and Loretta Smith. She attended school at Saranac Lake. She worked as a custodian at the Tupper Lake Central School District for many years. On Feb. 27, 1954, she married Wilfred J. Lanthier.
She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
