Brenda L. Greenwood

Brenda (Tetter) Greenwood passed on July 21 at the age of 73, in her winter home in Barefoot Bay, Florida after an extensive battle with COPD. She was born July 16, 1947 in Tupper Lake, where she lived for 10 years before moving to Saranac Lake. As a young woman she moved to Rochester, to be with her future husband.

She was predeceased by her parents Edmond Dupree and Pauline Dupree (Girard); her son Richard (Dave) Duprey and her special dog Suzi.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ed Greenwood; her daughters Martinique (Bob) Bonter and Dawn (Brian) Duprey-Schommer; her sons Thomas (Aimee) Duprey and Dwayne Duprey; grandchildren Alex (Sarah) Duprey, Jillian Duprey-Schommer and Dalton (Spanky) Bonter; one great grandchild Ander Duprey; sisters Marlene (Tom) Hyde and Barbara (Roy) Stevens; Many nieces, nephews, and amazing friends.

Brenda owned and operated the Monarch Unisex hair salon for over two decades. She loved gardening, traveling, animals of all types, and celebrating with family, especially during the holidays. She gave more than she ever received.

There are NO words to describe the loss and love we feel for this beautiful, loving and caregiving woman.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. S, Rochester, on Aug. 29, by invite only due to the COVID-19 limitation. There will be a celebration of life immediately following at noon, outside at 632 Clevenger Rd, Ontario, New York, which is approximately 25 minutes from Miller’s.
