Thomas George ‘Bud’ Goff

Thomas George “Bud” Goff, born Feb. 15, 1936, died suddenly Monday, May 13, 2019, at Adirondack Medical Center of Saranac Lake. He was the son of Robert and Hazel (Tyler) Goff.

Bud worked for the New York State Department of Transportation for 29 years. He’d been retired for 21 years. Bud lived for his family — kids, grandkids and great-grandkids alike! He was willing to help anyone in a bind.

Bud is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ardeth Mae (Flint) Goff; four children: Calvin, Kevin (Lucy), Melody Law (Roy Warner) and Timothy (Susan); 11 grandchildren: Shannon Goff, Noel Goff, Ashley (Brian) Maddaugh, Amanda Goff, Kevin Goff Jr. (Darcy), Karl Law (Rebecca), Chad Law, Jordon (Mallory) Law, Phillippe Goff, Travis Goff and Samuel Goff; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; three brothers: Gene, Donald and David; and only surviving sister Betty Wilson.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake. The family has requested no calling hours. Burial with graveside services will be at Union Cemetery in Vermontville at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 with the Rev. Daniel Shumway officiating. Friends wishing to remember Bud can make memorial donations to the Saranac Lake Central School District for students in need of a lunch, in care of the funeral home.
