Pauline Hache

Pauline Hache, 97, of 12 Tallman St., Tupper Lake, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Mercy Living Center in Tupper Lake.

Born in Tupper Lake on May 31, 1917, she was the daughter of Edward and Laura (Monette) Payment. Pauline married Lawrence “Leo” Hache on June 14, 1941 in Tupper Lake. He predeceased her in 1980.

Pauline was a lifelong resident of Tupper Lake and had worked as a waitress at various area restaurants, including the Riverside Restaurant in Tupper Lake where she worked for over 15 years. She later worked at the Tupper Lake Central School District in the school cafeteria for many years.

Pauline was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and the Rosary Society and had volunteered at the Mercy Living Center for many years. Pauline’s family would especially like to thank Arlene Mace for her love, care and concern.

She is survived by two sons: Gary Hache and his wife Pamela of Shasta, Minnesota, and John Hache of Tupper Lake; one daughter, Mary Rivera and her husband Rudy of Ladson, South Carolina; three grandchildren: Elizabeth Herdia, her husband Sabastian and their daughter Ellea of Rockville, Maryland, Patrick Hache and his daughter Bella Sharon of Tupper Lake and Matthew Hache, currently serving in the United States Navy, stationed in San Diego, California; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters: Gaiton, Buster, Pete, Yvon, Phil, Lillian, Bob, Irene and Helen.

Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28 at St. Alphonsus Church in Tupper Lake, with the Rev. Decker officiating. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
