Janet (Graham) Blair

Janet (Graham) Blair, 87, of Tupper Lake, passed away at her home on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.

Born Feb. 11, 1928, in Tupper Lake, she was the daughter of James and Mary Catherine (O’Donnell) Graham. Janet grew up in Tupper Lake and attended Holy Ghost Academy.

She married Edward Blair on Nov. 27, 1946. She worked at the Oval Wood Dish prior to leaving Tupper Lake. They moved in 1960 to Holyoke, Massachusetts, where she was employed at the Sickles Co. and retired from MooreDrop Forge Corp. in 1990, and returned to Tupper Lake to make their home on Lincoln Drive.

Janet is survived by one daughter, Catherine M. LaBonte and her husband Leo of Blackstone, Massachusetts; one son, Edward J. and his wife Christine of Tupper Lake; five grandchildren: Michael, John, Lisa, Thomas and Angela; nine great-grandchildren: Shawn, Stephanie, Jen, Justin, Sara, Michael, Allen, Zachery and Isabella; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Marion Blair of Holyoke, Massachusetts, and Catherine Carrol of Tupper Lake.

She was predeceased by her husband, brothers Arthur and James, sister Rita Arsenault and granddaughter Tanya Blair.

Calling hours are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake with a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in May.
