Richard M. Greenier

Born in Saranac Lake, Richard was raised in Maryland until the age of 13, when his family returned to Saranac Lake. He attended Saranac Lake High School and resided in Rome for the past 20 years.

Richard began his culinary career in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. He worked at the Savoy and later at The Beeches, both in Rome, as the head chef until 2009. Richard enjoyed boxing in his youth. He was a golfer and an avid Washington Redskins fan.

Surviving are his daughter, Bailee, of Rome; his parents, Margaret Greenier and David L. Greenier of Saranac Lake; two sisters: Joanne Austin of Saranac Lake and Brenda (Mark) Kirby of Swedesboro, New Jersey; and his nieces and nephews: Jamie (Joshua) Morgan, David Prosper, Michael Kirby and Maria Kirby.

Richard was predeceased by his brother, David W. Greenier.
