Nancy J. (Schauble) Murray
Nancy J. (Schauble) Murray, 78, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family: nephew Tim Snyder, his children, Douglas, Christine and Eric, stepchildren, Cris and Cindy Murray, Lynn Murray Smith and Sandy Murray Lamb.
Nancy was born, Oct. 25, 1936 in Tupper Lake, the daughter of Douglas and Margaret (Tetreault) Schauble. She attended local schools and was employed as a legal secretary until retirement.
Nancy married Charles F. (Bud) Murray in 1983; he pre-deceased her in 2004. Nancy was a member of the Tupper Lake Country Club. She was a volunteer at the Adirondack Adult Center, an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by two sisters: Susan Mitchell and Karen Goyette; 11 grandchildren: Kristie Smith Mletzko, Katie Smith Seranno, Joshua A. Smith, Sara, Rebecca and Jenna Lamb, Danny and Beth Murray, Wesley, Ryan and Aimee Legauet; as well as many other great-grandchildren and two great-nephews. She will also be missed by her aunt and friend Peg Skiff.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by two sisters, Sally Wissig and Patti Schauble and one brother Douglas Schauble.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no funeral services.
