Shirley Dinsmore
Shirley Dinsmore, 84, of Saranac Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at the Uihlein Living Center in Lake Placid, where she had been a resident since 2007.
Born in Sugarbush on March 21, 1930, she was the daughter of Gordon and Marie (Tuthill) Skiff.
Shirley had been employed by the Saranac Lake Central School District at the Bloomingdale Elementary School for many years, working in the kitchen and housekeeping department. During the summers, Shirley also worked at the J.J. Newberry store in Saranac Lake. Shirley was an avid Jets fan and cook. She also enjoyed sewing and crochet.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Dinsmore of Saranac Lake.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Merrillsville Cemetery in Loon Lake.
