Lee F LaMare

Lee had resided at Mercy Living Center following his car accident in 2010.

Born on Aug. 16, 1934 in Tupper Lake, he was the son of Homer and Dezira (Puttrow) LaMare.

Lee was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during the Korean War. He was honorable discharged in 1954. On June 4, 1955 he married the former Theresa Godin.

Lee was employed at Oval Wood Dish until 1964 when he went to work for the Late Roger Sullivan. He retired as vice president of manufacturing in December 1997.

Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Theresa LaMare; one son Randy LaMare of Carlinville, Illinois; one daughter Patti Flagg and her husband Ray of Tupper Lake; special daughter Peggy Holt and her husband Ron; six grandchildren: Vicki Page and her husband Donnie of Crestview, Florida; Erica LaMare and her husband Ola of Stockholm Sweden, Orgun Sen and his wife Kariss, Lee Thomas LaMare and his wife Keena, all of San Angelo, Texas, Marissa LaMare of Tupper Lake, Theresa and Amber LaMare of Carlinville, Illinois, Brayden, Ashleigh and Samantha Flagg of Tupper Lake; three great-grandchildren: Kyle Ortiz of Crestview, Florida, Feyzi and Keila LaMare of San Angelo, Texas; two brothers: Homer LaMare and his wife Mae, and Doris LaMare, all of Tupper Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

Lee was predeceased by his parents, two sisters: Violet LaMare and Dezira Nicklaw; one brother Pete LaMare.

Calling hours are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 26 at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday, May 27 at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with full military honors.
