Rose M. Glover

Born in Saranac Lake on March 23, 1937, she was the daughter of Spencer and Stella Marie (Delcour) Branch. Rose married Thomas Glover on Oct. 13, 1956 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.

Rose had been a life long resident of Saranac Lake. She was a member of the Saranac Lake Moose Club, V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary and the Saranac Lake Elks Club BPOE 1508. Rose was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, tending to her flowers, and she especially loved cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years Thomas Glover of Saranac Lake; two daughters: Donna Glover of Saranac Lake and Debra Stafford and her husband William of Earlton; one son Thomas Glover and his wife Teresa of Saranac Lake; three brothers: Harlan Branch of Saranac Lake, Jerome “Champ” Branch of Saranac Lake and Augustine “Gus” Branch of Oswego; one sister Louise Wilcox of Saranac Lake; six grandchildren: Amanda Boomhwer, Carl Boomhower and his wife Marisa, Jared Wells and his companion Larissa Morse, Rachel Wells and her companion Tommy Bleau, Mary Margaret and Nora Rose Glover; 12 great-grandchildren: Thomas, Alyssa, Nicholas, Lilianna, Adalina, Chase, Tyler, Mason, Evelyn Rose, Adisyn, Trevor and Cody; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; mother; one sister Mary Branch Miller; and six brothers: Roland, Richard, Marshall, Donald, Joseph and George.

Calling hours will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14 at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at noon Saturday, March 15 at St. Bernard’s Church, with the Rev. Mark Reilly officiating. Burial will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery in Saranac Lake in the spring.
