Jessie R. Call

Jessie Renee Call, 26, of Shepard Avenue, Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

Born in Ventura, Calif. on June 28, 1987, she was the daughter of Geoffrey Yasenchok and Ruby Vann. Jessie married Brandon Call on July 14, 2007 in Fort Myers, Fla.

Jessie had been employed as an assistant manager and operations manager at the Dollar Tree in Saranac Lake at the time of her death. Prior to that she had worked as a certified nurses assistant at the Uihlein Mercy Center in Lake Placid, Mercy Health Care Center in Tupper Lake and Horace Nye in Elizabethtown.

Jessie had been a resident of Saranac Lake since she was 10 years old, coming from Thousand Oaks, Calif. She attended Saranac Lake Central Middle School, High School and North Country Community College. Jessie enjoyed boating kayaking, hiking and especially spending time with her children. She was a member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama.

She is survived by her husband Brandon Call of Saranac Lake; one daughter London Ruby Call and one son Jaxson Israel Call, both of Saranac Lake; one step-son Cylas Call of Malone; her mother and step-father Ruby and Kodata Britton of Saranac Lake; her father Geoffrey Yasenchok of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; one sister Teale Yasenchok of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and three step-brothers: Cody Britton of Dunkirk, Sequoia and Stephanie Britton of Winchester, Va. and Tushonia Britton of Dryden; her maternal grandparents Robert and Jolene Vann of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will take place from 4 to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Harold Clark officiating.
