Renee M. Hughes

Renee was born on Dec. 8, 1950 and is the daughter of Robert Brooks and the late Joyce Williams.

Renee loved being with her family. Special events and family gatherings meant the world to her. Renee was notorious for her gift giving. She loved spending time in her yard tending to her flowers and gardens. She had a knack for creating special stationery which she proudly distributed to everyone. Renee never forgot a name and was a very kind and generous soul.

Renee is survived by her father Robert Brooks of Port Henry; her three children: Danielle and Brian Bishop of Lake Placid, Michelle and Mike Beaney of Lake Placid and Robert Hughes of Port Henry; five grandchildren: Skyler Comins, Emma Bishop, Brooke Beaney, Briar Beaney and Wyatt Hughes; her ex-husband and father of her children, Robert Hughes; her sisters and brothers: Linda and Edward Lewis, James Brooks and Mary Gagnon, Leslie and Charles Hurley, Susan and Paul Cutting, John Brooks; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at St. Patrick’s Church in Port Henry. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry.
