Christopher E. Lampart

Christopher E. Lampart, 43, of 119 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, and formerly of Saranac Lake, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

Born in Plattsburgh on May 28, 1970, he was the son of Floyd and Martha (Rhonemus) Lampart.

Christopher attended and graduated from Saranac Lake High School in 1988. Following High School he attended Ithaca College and had lived in Ithaca for the past 25 years. Christopher was employed as chief cook for the Green Star Natural Food Store in Ithaca for the past 10 years. He was an avid reader, loved music, theater and had participated in many plays in Saranac Lake. Christopher will be remembered most for being a loving free spirit and soul.

He is survived by his father and mother Floyd and Martha Lampart of Lake Clear; one brother Carl Lampart and his wife Sheline of Sugarland, Texas; two nieces: Amanda and Chealsey Lampart of Sugarland, Texas; two uncles and aunts: Fred and Elina Lampart of Mentor, Ohio, and Paul and Carol Rhonemus of Buffalo; and several cousins: Marlies Lampart, Shawn Rhonemus, Brandon Rhonemus and Shannon Rhonemus.

Calling hours will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20 at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at noon Tuesday, Jan. 21 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake, with the Rev. Mark Reilly officiating.
