Yvonne Snyder

Yvonne was born on June 29, 1934, the daughter of Ivan and Marjorie (Bruce) Planty.

On Nov. 22, 1953, she married Bernard “Gino” Snyder and raised their family, along with numerous foster children, in Tupper Lake.

Yvonne is survived by her five children: Susan Colby and her husband James Colby of Milton, Vt., Thomas and wife Tracye of Tupper Lake, Anne Marie Jay of Tupper Lake, Joel and wife Mary Ellen of Tupper Lake, and Jonathan and wife Judy of Tupper Lake; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Yvonne also has two sisters, Paticia Bates of Tupper Lake and Candy Schriber of Abbeville, S.C.

She was predeceased by one son, David, in 2003 and her husband Bernard earlier this year.

Calling hours are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Oct. 14, followed by a funeral service at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake. Burial will immediately follow in St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Tupper Lake. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Mercy Living Center of Tupper Lake.
