What’s that sound? It’s the call for artists’ exhibitions

BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE — If you’re an artist, and you think you have what it takes to stage an exhibition, the Arts Center wants to hear from you.

The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts (The Arts Center) in Blue Mountain Lake is seeking artists to submit samples of their works to be considered for an exhibition in 2020. Exhibits may last from four to six weeks, and may be subject to change. Deadline to submit artwork is March 7, 2020.

Artists’ works may include the following, but not limited to: mixed media, installations, paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, 3D, sculpture, textile, video, sound and interactive.

Here’s where the rubber meets the road: the submission fee is $45 for non-members or $35 for Arts Center members.

Interested artists should submit up to 10 jpegs, which best represents a cohesive exhibit. All submitted pieces must have sample pricing to be considered, with the majority of exhibited works available for purchase. The selection process will be completed by March 29, 2020 with acceptance notifications sent via email.

Online submissions only.

Submissions will be accepted with proper payment by visiting http://www.adirondackarts.org/callforartists.php and click on the link at the bottom of the page which will provide a link to the Submittables website with additional instructions.
