Sinfonietta’s ‘The Force Unleashed’ at LPCA

LAKE PLACID – Stuart Malina, the second of three candidates appearing in audition for the position of music director of the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, has planned an exuberant evening, highlighted by the appearance of violinist Alexander Kerr as featured guest artist.

“The Force Unleashed” is the fourth of six concerts in the Sunday evening Symphony Series at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. The July 28 concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $28 for adults and $5 for youths 18 and under.

Although this is scheduled for the same day as the Ironman Triathlon, the LPCA can be easily accessed via Saranac Avenue and boasts ample parking.

Tickets may be purchased online and at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts box office which is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and until curtain time on the day of the performance (518-523-2512). Online tickets are available at LakePlacidArts.org and LakePlacidSinfonietta.org. Concert goers are invited to a post-performance meet the artist reception in front of the box office after the concert.
