Saranac Lake Third Thursday Art Walk tonight

SARANAC LAKE – The Third Thursday Art Walk will return tonight from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with offerings in the area of Broadway and Main Street.

The Adirondack Artist Guild is featuring “My Impressions,” a collection of new watercolors and acrylics by master painter Ken Wiley.

Northwind Fine Arts Gallery is featuring “Through My Lens” by Ed Williams; Photographs articulate Ed Williams’ artistic interpretation of the envisioned moment.

Georgeanne Gaffney will be on hand at her studio in the Madden Building. And on the way, a taste of wine is available at Saranac Lake Discount Liquors.

Cape Air has a display of Art Works members creations and Small Fortune Studio’s Tim Fortune has offerings inside his studio.

Art at the Pink House and the botanical creations of Cris Winters will be on display.

The Backsliders Duo, singer-guitarist Jim Schleich and bassist Eric Huppert, will return to Berkeley Green. The Backsliders use period style acoustic and electric guitars in an effort to produce a classic sound and keep the “flame burning brightly.”

Street musicians, including Mike Shepard (acoustic guitar and vocals), Steve McAuley (acoustic/electric guitar and vocals), Rock n’ Lil (acoustic guitar and vocals), SloJam, ABC (Adirondack Barbershop Coalition), Austin Laraby (acoustic guitar), and Arte (Harpman) Munzo (guitar and vocals)will be sprinkled throughout the village.

Artists and craftspeople will showcase their wares on the street. Please stop and chat with Christine Dekkers (painting), Robert Hedden (painting), Jan Byington (painting), Sarah Humphreys (fabric crafts), Amanda McCaffrey (artist), Martha Ryan (scrimshaw artist), Shaun Durant (photography), Lauren McGovern (jewelry), Eleanor Sweeney (photography) and Debi Mowka (jewelry).

Two of Saranac Lake’s authors, Yvona Fast and George Bryjak, will be present.

The Loon Center will be open for browsing.

For those into making art of their own, Romano’s Saranac Lanes will host a Paint and Sip with Cathy Romano.

Also along the walk is the 1920s display at Saranac Laboratory Museum on Church Street.
