Pick Pendragon’s opening play

SARANAC LAKE – Pendragon Theatre invites the public to pick its opening play of the 2017 summer season.

Over the past few months, Pendragon Theatre has been collecting play titles suggested by audience members. Pendragon’s Executive Artistic Director Karen Kirkham reviewed those titles and chose six of them to be presented this November on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as readings. This is the second year of this popular program. Last year, the play Art, by Yasmina Reza won the most votes and was produced as a fully realized play in May and June.

.Pendragon’s Patrons’ Pick Play Reading Series begins this Thursday at 7 p.m. with “4,000 Miles” by Amy Herzog and runs as follows:

-Nov. 8 – “The Flick” by Annie Baker,

-Nov. 10 – “Seascape by Edward Albee

-Nov. 15 -?”Fiction” by Steven Dietz

-Nov. 17 – “Heroes” by Tom Stoppard

-Nov. 22 – “The Realistic Joneses” by Will Eno

People are encouraged to come to as many readings as they can and vote for their favorite. All of the plays are read by popular Pendragon actors and some performers new to the theatre as well.

The readings are free and at 7 p.m. at Pendragon Theatre, 15 Brandy Brook Ave, Saranac Lake.
