Piano concert Saturday at Saranac Village at Will Rogers
SARANAC LAKE — Louise Dionne will perform a solo piano concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Saranac Village at Will Rogers.
This program will include works by Ludwig van Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata and Brahms’ Rhapsody in b minor. She will also give a premier performance of her latest piano composition Sailing on Lake Champlain which will be followed by her staple work Floating on Lake Champlain.
Dionne has been a featured guest at Will Rogers each year since 2010. She has been a music faculty member at SUNY Plattsburgh since 2001, a private piano instructor for 26 years and a recording artist, releasing her first CD, “Floating on Lake Champlain,” in 2011.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in music and two minors in French and Spanish in 1985 and her Master of Music degree from Ithaca College in 1988.
Dionne shares a home with her Cuban born husband, Ernesto Rodriguez, and their son, Camilo.
There is a $5 suggested donation. Refreshments will be served.
