Friday’s music on the train will feature Brian “BB” Ready. Ready is the front man for Fade to Blues, known around the North Country and beyond.

As a solo artist, his style isn’t limited to the blues, but includes delving in to his folk and Americana roots. He lists the Kingston Trio, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and a host of others as influences.

Ready gets down to the nitty-gritty with his piercing style. Threads of Woody Guthrie, the singing breakman Jimmie Rodgers, Reverend Gary Davis, and the Beatles weave their way into the tapestry of his music.

The Hobo’s Campfire Music train leaves Lake Placid at 10:30 a.m. and makes two round trips to Saranac Lake.

Ready will perform four sets.

The cost is $19 round trip for adults with reduced fare for seniors and children.
