LPI?news

In April, LPI held its most successful theatre benefit to date in New York City to see “School of Rock,” an annual Broadway theater and dinner event in the springtime. Supporters and patrons from Lake Placid, New York City and the surrounding areas came together to raise funds for the Institute’s programs, which provide a source of intellectual and cultural enrichment to the local community.

In May, the Institute also hosted a reception for the winners of the Annual Great Adirondack Young People’s Poetry Contest at the Hotel North Woods, where the published chapbook of the entries “Words from the Woods” was presented to everyone.

All programs are open to the public and tickets can now be purchased online at www.lakeplacidinstitute.org. Reservations, tickets and questions can also be directed to Executive Director Ashleah Mayberry at 518-523-1312 or info@lakeplacidinstitute.org. Additional detail for each individual event will be publicized throughout the summer with “It’s Summer: The Schedule” posted on flyers around town.
