LAKE PLACID – Kerry Ann Mendez, author of “Perennially Yours,” among other gardening titles, will be guest speaker at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Lake Placid at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16.

She will speak on the subject of her latest book, “The Right-Size Garden: Simplify Your Outdoor Space with Smart Design and Plant Choices. “

This event is free and open to the public. The program is co-sponsored by the Adirondack Garden Club and the Garden Club of Lake Placid.

A buffet luncheon will follow the program with reservations required by calling Lynne Perry at 518-359-2630.

Mendez’s message will be all about 21st century gardening sanity – time saving tips in plant choices and design – simple strategies for creating stunning gardens as close to being on autopilot as one can get.

For 2015, Mendez has scheduled more than 100 presentations in 17 states and Canada.
