‘Beads and Bowls’ exhibited at Artists Guild
SARANAC LAKE — Toos Roozen-Evans, a copper artist and jeweler, will be the featured artist at the Adirondack Artists Guild for the month of June.
“Beads and Bowls” is a collection that pays tribute to the craftsmanship of a self-taught artist with over two decades of experience. This unique collection marries the charm of heat-patina copper bowls, hand-hammered and shaped, with the allure of sterling silver, turquoise and lapis earrings and necklaces. Each piece blends natural elements with a refined aesthetic that honors the organic qualities of the metals.
“I never know exactly what the end result will be,” Roozen-Evans said in a news release. “I just go where the copper takes me.”
The show opens on Friday, June 2 with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m., and will run through July 4.
