After installing the Christmas tree at Berkeley Green on Tuesday morning, Saranac Lake village Department of Public Works employee William Tanzini re-installs some branches that were broken in transit by drilling holes in the trunk and plugging the holes with fallen branches. DPW employees chopped down the tree behind the village sewer plant on state Route 3 that morning and plan to decorate it today. This is the second tree the village is installing this year.
