SARANAC LAKE — The Winter Carnival Committee will meet today to decide on a theme for the 2023 Carnival. This meeting is open to anyone who wants to attend and vote.

Committee Chairman Jeff Branch said anyone who shows up to a meeting is part of the committee.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 30 Bloomingdale Ave.

Committee members pitched seven ideas in March — Wizards and Dragons, Music Legends, The ’70s, Festival of Fools, Party of the Century, Welcome to the Jungle and Video Games. The Committee also solicited theme ideas on its Facebook page.
