SARANAC LAKE — Spring clean-up weekends will be held on May 7-8 and May 14-15 in the village here, with efforts focused on trash pick-up on municipal properties and public parks.

The clean-up is being organized by the village and the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, as part of its Grounded: Get Down to Earth in Saranac Lake event.

Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, volunteers can visit Riverside Park to pick up trash bags, rubber gloves, location assignments and clean up directions. On Saturday, May 14, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., volunteers can check in at the Saranac Lake Welcome Center at the Harrietstown Town Hall — 39 Main St. — to pick up supplies.

All trash bags from the clean-up should get deposited next to a village municipal garbage can, if not otherwise directed by Chamber staff to deposit at specific locations.

More information on Grounded: Get Down to Earth in Saranac Lake is available on the Chamber’s website slareachamber.org/grounded2022.
