Tearing down the mural

From left, Joel DiCaprio, John Joiner (back) and Mike Stone from Joiner Masonry work on fixing the mural wall in the parking lot of the Rusty Nail on Tuesday. The mosaic mural there has been removed and a new mural will be installed. Joiner said when they removed the mosaic, they uncovered another mural underneath, painted directly on the wall, which was the foundation of the Alpine Hotel. (Enterprise photo — Aaron Cerbone)
