A flock of flamingos had landed on the lawn at Will Rogers in Saranac Lake last week, but they’ve already found another roosting site. People can send them to other lawns by contributing $20 to the Saranac Lake Rotary Foundation, helping to raise funds that will support community needs via the club’s grant program. The bulk of the club’s funding each year normally comes from the Winter Carnival Rotary Show, which cannot be held this year due to COVID, so the club decided to get creative and colorful. Community members can bring some of that cheerful color to one of their neighbor’s lawns, or even their own. Contact the club at saranaclakerotary@gmail.com for details, or call Franny Preston at 518-569-2380. (Provided photo — Jenn Grisi)
