SARANAC LAKE — The Tri-Lakes Humane Society is hosting an art walk at its shelter next weekend, featuring paintings created by the shelter animals.

The event is slated for Saturday, June 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, 255 George LaPan Memorial Hwy., Saranac Lake.

All of the art will be displayed on the shelter’s walking trails and will be available for purchase to give back to the animals’ ongoing care. Admission to the art walk is $1 per person. Snacks and refreshments will be available for donations.

“We’re excited to celebrate the animals’ enrichment,” said Carla M. Stroud, shelter director of the Tri-Lakes Humane Society. “These paintings are a fun visual representation of the great work the staff does to keep the animals happy and mentally stimulated while they wait for loving homes. It’s a great window into the care of the animals at the shelter and a fun way to give back.”
