Vaccine clinics coming up in Saranac Lake, Malone

SARANAC LAKE — Two vaccine clinics are happening at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake next week, and one is taking place in Malone Friday.

The first AMC clinic on Monday will be open, by appointment, to New Yorkers over the age of 30 and anyone else who is eligible to be vaccinated.

The second clinic on Tuesday will be open by appointment to New Yorkers over the age of 16 and anyone else eligible.

Those interested in getting vaccinated can visit www.adirondackhealth.org/pages/vaccine to find registration information for each clinic.

Franklin County Public Health will host another COVID-19 vaccine point of distribution (POD) clinic this Friday at the county courthouse in Malone. It’s open to all New Yorkers who are currently eligible.

The state Department of Health announced Monday that eligibility for vaccination will greatly expand. As of Tuesday, New Yorkers 30 years of age and older can begin to schedule appointments and get vaccinated, and that New Yorkers 16 and older can begin to schedule appointments and get vaccinated beginning Tuesday. Eligible people can also get the vaccine at state-run vaccine centers in Plattsburgh and Potsdam. Visit https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov to find out if you are eligible, find vaccine availability near you and schedule an appointment.

People can also contact their local pharmacy to get on a waiting list to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
