SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Artists Guild will open its 2021 summer season with “Silver, Copper, and the Blues”, an exhibit of jewelry by Toos Roozen-Evans.

Inspired by her love of bold color and organic shapes, Toos’ latest work, “Silver, Copper, and the Blues,” features heishi-cut turquoise, lapis lazuli, sterling silver, and pure copper. Toos’ signature statement necklaces are the prizes of this collection. She applied a variety of metal-working techniques to hand craft these necklaces of fine grade silver and copper. She selected semi-precious stones in a spectrum of blue hues to complement both the cool and warm tones of the metals.

The exhibit will open on Friday, May 7. There will be no reception due to COVID-19, but Toos will be at the gallery all that day and the following day, May 8, so that visitors will be able to talk with her. Face coverings and social distancing are required, and a maximum of six visitors at a time may be in the gallery. The show closes on May 30.
