Moores open Quantum Apparel — Greg and Linda Moore of Saranac Lake this week are holding a grand opening for Quantum Apparel, their new Under Armour clothing store at 2472 Main St., Lake Placid, across from the Lake Placid Public Library. For seven years they have had the vision of establishing an Under Armour store here, and despite the difficulties of the pandemic, in May they made the contact needed to make it happen. Like at the Moores’ other clothing company, Bear Essentials (with locations in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake), customers at Quantum Apparel will be able to personalize their activewear uniquely their own with the store’s on-site heat press. Polaks open Mini Euromart — Anna (seen here) and Bogdan Polak recently opened Mini Euromart at 2049 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid, in the Placid Pond complex. The market offers European delicatessen and specialty grocery items and delicacies. Doty, Corelli take over Darrah Cooper Jewelers — Allison Doty, left, and Briar Corelli have partnered up to purchase and run Darrah Cooper Jewelers at 2416 Main St., Lake Placid. They are familiar faces and have each worked at the store for over 15 years under Tim and Deb Lennon’s ownership.
