Mercy Care offers COVID-19 aid

LAKE PLACID — Mercy Care for the Adirondacks has received COVID-19 relief funds to administer on behalf of the Institute Leadership Team of the Catholic Sisters of Mercy.

With these funds, Mercy Care has established the Conduit of Mercy Fund dedicated to providing for essential needs for persons Mercy Care serves or other individuals who may be suffering economic hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Tri-Lakes region, which is Mercy Care’s direct service area.

To request confidential financial assistance, there is a one-page application form that can be obtained from Holly Huber, interim elder care and volunteer training manager, at hhuber@adkmercy.org or 518-523-5583.

Mercy Care for the Adirondacks is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and based in Lake Placid. Its mission is to enhance, in every dimension, the fullness of life of elders living in their community. It is governed by a local board of directors and relies solely on grants and charitable gifts for its support.
