Wilmington forms volunteer corps

WILMINGTON — Town Supervisor Roy Holzer has announced the formation of the Community Cares Committee, organized as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are seeking volunteers for a wide variety of needs,” Holzer stated. It could be something as simple as calling a neighbor for social interaction, picking up medications or making food deliveries.

A database will be made up of Wilmington’s Community Cares participants and a job the volunteer can help out with. All tasks assigned will be in total compliance with the standards of social and physical distancing. We want to keep everyone safe and healthy.

For more information, contact the town supervisor’s office at 518-946-7179 or townsupervisor@townofwilmington.org.
