SARANAC LAKE — A Tri-Lakes job fair, with benefits for both job seekers and employers, is planned for Wednesday, March 4.

The Adirondack Daily Enterprise Job Fair will take place from noon to 4 p.m. in North County Community College Sparks Athletic Complex. The Enterprise is partnering with the college to host this event that will encompass job opportunities from hospitality to health care.

“The need for employees is growing, and with low unemployment, employers have to get out and recruit all different ways,” Enterprise Publisher Catherine Moore said. “There is no silver bullet in finding the right candidate. One must get the word out through advertising, job fairs, networking and incentives. It is well represented by the business community due to publicizing it heavily to the audience who use our classified employment section in print and the online programic recruitment site, jobs.adirondackdailyenterprise.com.”

Partnering with NCCC serves students considering careers in the community, and it is an opportunity for local businesses to share their needs and ideas through networking.

Participating vendors can start setting up as early as 10 a.m., and meet and greet others over light fare and beverages available at 11 a.m.

The Enterprise will publish a special Get the Job section that will be inserted in the Enterprise and the Lake Placid News, and distributed to schools and colleges, as well as available at the event. It will be filled with articles pertinent to job seeking and hiring.

Businesses interested in the job fair and in using the special Enterprise section to promote their job opportunities should contact job recruitment consultants Lindsay Munn at 518-891-2600 ext. 20 or lmunn@adirondackdailyenterprise.com, or Connie Martelle at ext. 10. To be included in this event, register with the Enterprise by this Friday.

(Correction: The date of the Job Fair was incorrect in an earlier version of this article.)
