Vehicle found in AuSable River with no one inside
WILMINGTON — A car was found in the West Branch of the AuSable River Wednesday. No one was inside it.
The car was found at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to New York State Police Troop B Public Information Officer Jennifer Fleishman. She said no one was injured.
That part of state Route 86 was closed for two-and-a-half hours, Fleishman said.
The Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, roughly one mile from the monument, at 7:55 a.m. Monday with two trucks and 19 members. The department was back in service at 11:35 a.m.
No further information was available by press time.
