Route 86 paving may resume Tuesday
RAY BROOK — If Monday’s rainfall lifts, repaving will resume Tuesday on state Route 86 between Ray Brook and Lake Placid, the state Department of Transportation announced Monday.
That means drivers on arguably the busiest stretch of road in the Adirondacks may want to leave early to accommodate for travel delays.
The two-lane highway will be reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic directed by flaggers, according to the DOT Capital Region communications office.
