Workers on Monday remove fencing from a park on River Street, Saranac Lake, where a state Superfund cleanup
operation of Lake Flower’s
Pontiac Bay was based. The removal opened up public views of the lake for the first time in months and cleared the site for its traditional use — housing the Winter Carnival Ice Palace every February.
