APA to consider Gore Mountain, Van Ho changes

RAY BROOK — The state Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at agency headquarters in Ray Brook, starting at 9 a.m.

At 9:15, the Local Government Services Committee will deliberate a new town ordinance plan for the town of Caroga Lake. After that, the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval of the expansion of the Lake George Riverview RV Park. The park has requested permission to nearly double in size, from 94 campsites to 167.

At 10:45, the State Land Committee will consider for approval state land reclassifications related to plans at the state-owned Gore Mountain Ski Center in North Creek. The committee will then determine if those plans, along with plans for the state-owned Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic complex in Lake Placid, conform with the State Land Master Plan.

The full agency board will convene at 11:45 for final votes.

The APA board will take a tour of Mount Van Hoevenberg at 1:30 p.m. The tour is open to the public.
